Jose Fajardo Jr. began his musical journey at the age of three when he played percussion with his father. Since childhood, he has performed alongside and recorded with some of the best Latin musicians of all time. He also has traveled around the world with iconic Latin artists, performing in Africa, Mexico, St. Martin, Germany, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, the United States and more. His career also extends to television. This includes performances on programs like Siempre en Domingo, El Show Del Medio Dia, Access Hollywood and more.


Jose has played his music in some of the largest venues in the world including Madison Square Garden, The Lincoln Center, Hostos Center for Arts and Culture, Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, Plaza De Toro, and the Call Ocho Festival in Miami.


In 2001, Jose Fajardo, Jr. became the director of his father’s orchestra. Established in 1949, it changed the traditional sound of charanga music to a larger salsa sound for all generations.
